NautaDutilh assists Metro International S.A. with sale of Metro Holland to TMG
13 September 2012 - NautaDutilh assists Metro International S.A. with the sale of (all) shares of Metro Holland B.V. ('Metro Holland') to Telegraaf Media Groep N.V. (TMG). The share sale agreement was made between Metro International S.A., Metro International A.B. (Sellers), Telegraaf Media Nederland Landelijke Media B.V. (Purchaser) and Metro Holland.
As a part of this transaction, Metro International S.A. has entered into a franchise agreement with Metro Holland who will continue to publish the Metro newspaper in the Netherlands along with its other free daily newspaper, Sp!ts. Metro Holland will be part of TMG from September 2012.
Metro was launched in the Netherlands in 1999 and is the second largest daily newspaper in the Netherlands. The two free daily newspapers will have a total readership of 2.3 million daily readers.
