Christel Brion specialises in IP/regulatory advisory work and litigation.
Christel counsels companies active in the pharmaceutical/biotech, medical devices, OTC, mechanical, chemical and feed sectors. She has extensive experience assisting major pharmaceutical companies develop life-cycle management strategies and defend their patents against generic competition.
She also advises on and litigates cases involving a wide variety of regulatory issues, including clinical trials, the experimental use exemption, marketing authorisations, price and reimbursement decisions, distribution strategies, parallel import, advertising and promotions, pharmacovigilance, etc. Christel also regularly counsels fast-moving consumer goods companies on IP, regulatory and unfair competition issues.
In addition to her advisory and litigation practice, Christel has a solid background in due diligence and contractual/transactional work, drafting a.o. research, cooperation, distribution and licensing agreements.
Christel is an active member of NautaDutilh's multidisciplinary Life Sciences Team. She is a correspondant for Kluwer IP Cases, reporting on significant Belgian patent cases.
Christel received her law degree magna cum laude from the University of Brussels (ULB) in 2003 and obtained a post-graduate degree in international business law magna cum laude from that same university the following year.
Christel joined NautaDutilh in 2004. She is a member of the Brussels bar and is fluent in English, French and Dutch.
