Patrick Peeters specialises in public and administrative law, including energy law. He has extensive litigation experience before both the Constitutional Court and the Council of State.

Patrick focuses on all regulatory aspects of electricity and gas legislation (EU, federal and regional legislation). He is recognised as an energy law specialist by a number of important players on the Belgian energy market.

He was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1988 and became a partner with De Bandt, van Hecke & Lagae (subsequently Linklaters De Bandt) in 1994. He joined NautaDutilh in 2005 to develop the administrative law and regulatory practice with François Tulkens.

Patrick is the author of numerous publications on constitutional law, comparative federalism and state reform. He is a senior lecturer on comparative federalism at the University of Leuven (KUL). Patrick is also a country rapporteur for European Public Law and a member of the editorial board of Chronique de Droit Public/Publiekrechtelijke Kronieken.
