A proposal for provisions on cross-border insolvency of groups of companies in the European Insolvency Regulation
A drafting committee of INSOL Europe (chaired by Robert van Galen) has prepared an extensive proposal for revision of the European Insolvency Regulation.
One of the most important elements of this proposal is the addition of a new chapter on the insolvency of groups of companies.
Shortly, the complete INSOL Europe proposal will be published, but Robert van Galen has already presented a summary of the said new chapter to the European Insolvency and Restructuring Congress in Brussels, organised by the German Insolvency Lawyers Association.
