Anne Marie Verschuur has been appointed Assistant Reporter General at the International Bureau (managing board) of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI). In this post she will be responsible for organising the practical work of the association.
The AIPPI is the international association for the protection of intellectual property and was founded in 1897. The association now has approximately 9,000 members worldwide. The aim of the AIPPI is to promote national and international protection of intellectual property and has been one of the authoritative institutions in this field since its foundation. In this respect, the association focuses on developing, expanding, harmonising and improving international treaties and national legislation. The international congress of the AIPPI is attended by approximately 2,000 members.
