The IWIRC Founders Awards are:

• the Melnik Award for exceptional IWIRC member: won by Judith Elkin, partner at Haynes and Boone
• the Fetner Award for outstanding international contribution: won by Barbara and
• the Ryan Award for outstanding IWIRC network: won by the Delaware Network.

Barbara has been a member of IWIRC's board since October 2012. As European Regional Director on the International Board, she has been an instrumental member of the team responsible for shepherding further expansion of IWIRC programming throughout Europe by helping develop IWIRC programming in connection with INSOL’s Quadrennial Conference at The Hague to be held in May, as well as initiating the first IWIRC sponsored panel included as part of the INSOL Europe curriculum which will be held in Paris in September. Moreover, under her leadership, membership in the region has increased as a result of the Network’s growth initiatives.

“These winners represent the best of the best of IWIRC,” said Jennifer Meyerowitz of Epiq Systems and IWIRC Chair. “Judy, Barbara and the Delaware Network have made incredible strides for the organization and I am proud to call them friends and colleagues. It is the dedication and commitment of our volunteer leaders that have allowed us to see the incredible growth that we celebrate on our 20th anniversary.”

All recipients will be honored on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at IWIRC’s Annual Spring Meeting in National Harbor, Maryland.
