On 9 December 2016 the Minister of Security and Justice (the "minister") sent a letter to Parliament about the ongoing modernisation of Dutch corporate law. The letter follows up on a 2004 report which set the modernisation process in motion. Among other things, the letter discusses laws that have been passed since the 2004 report and that are now being evaluated, areas of corporate law in which proposed legislative changes are still being investigated and, in a general sense, the need for and direction of any further changes.
