Dirk Van Gerven has been appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the FSMA, the Belgian Financial services and Markets Authority (formerly the CBFA). 

He has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2003. The eleven members of the Board approved the decision, which was made official in the Belgian State Gazete (Belgisch Staatsblad / Moniteur belge) on 11 April 2011.
