The recent downsizing of the deadline for the submission of annual accounts from 13 to 12 months  didn't have a real shock-and-awe effect in the Dutch boardrooms. Nonetheless, argues Jochem Hummelen on the website of Quote, the law should be overturned.

"The average entrepreneur must be able to do his or her job and being an entrepreneur means taking risks. A risk of failure, but also at a risk of success. If we punish the failure too hard, we punish the successes as well."
