FAQ Brexit Updates
On 14 November 2018, the UK Government and the EU Negotiation Team published an agreed draft Withdrawal Agreement on the UK's exit from the Union, accompanied by a draft outline of the Political Declaration on the future of the UK-EU relationship. To shed some light on this agreed draft Withdrawal Agreement we have formulated a clear overview of the next steps and of the main items in that agreement, focusing both on the transition period until December 2020 and on the outline for the future relationship between the EU and the UK.
Update 30 March 2017: Brexit - UK hands in formal Brexit notification
As announced, UK Prime Minister Theresa May lodged with the EU Council a notification under Article 50(2) EU Treaty, i.e. the UK's formal notification of its intention to withdraw from the EU.
