How can we help you?

We are proud of Barbara Rumora-Scheltema and Teun Struycken who participated in the first hearing in the very first matter ever litigated before the Netherlands Commercial Court (NCC).

In these proceedings, Barbara and Teun represented the Senior Lender in a case where the court is requested to approve enforcement of a pledge on share through a private sale. By the sale, the Senior Lender - who will also act as the purchaser - aims to help the underlying business out of a situation of financial distress. The NCC is a new section of the Amsterdam courts, especially set up for complex international cases, with English as the language of the proceedings. The procedural rules are fully equipped to allow an efficient handling of complex cases.

In December 2018 we already informed our contacts on this new Netherlands Commercial Court via our newsletter.
