On 21 June Ianika Tzankova was formally announced as a recipient of a Fulbright grant, at an event hosted by Ms. Fay Hartog Levin, the U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands. Ianika will be a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Stanford University during the spring quarter of 2012. During her period in residence there, she will develop and co-teach a seminar on transnational litigation, as well as conducting research.

In addition to being a lawyer at NautaDutilh, Ianika is a professor at Tilburg University, where she is also a member of the Tilburg Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies of Civil Law and Conflict Resolution Systems (TISCO).

At the event, Ianika was described as 'the most sophisticated analyst of the transition of the Netherlands from a traditional civil law jurisdiction to a world leader in innovative forms of mass dispute resolution.' The prestigious Fulbright grants are awarded annually to individuals with substantial academic or artistic achievements, ambassadorial qualities and a clear vision of the project they wish to pursue.
