Gerard Meijer appointed Professor of Arbitration & Dispute Resolution at the Erasmus University
Gerard Meijer has been appointed Professor of Arbitration & Dispute Resolution at the Erasmus School of Law (ESL) of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The chair that he holds has been established particularly to further develop expertise and experience in the field of arbitration law and other forms of dispute resolution.
Gerard has been active in university teaching and research ever since graduating from the ESL in 1990. In 2008, he was awarded a Ph.D. for a thesis on the agreement to arbitrate.
Gerard’s professorial duties will take one day a week and he will combine this with his partnership in our firm’s arbitration group and his position as secretary general at P.R.I.M.E. Finance, the newly founded arbitration institute for the financial markets.
