Today’s Amsterdam stock exchange flotations of the ASR insurance company and the Basic-Fit chain of fitness clubs bring the total number of newcomers on the exchange in 2016 to six. Of those transactions, five were handled by the international law firm of NautaDutilh: besides ASR and Basic-Fit, they were Sif, ForFarmers, and Coca-Cola European Partners. "This confirms our leading position as public M&A firm," says NautaDutilh's managing partner Erik Geerling.
“We’re incredibly proud to have handled some big ECM transactions for our clients this spring,” say partners Petra Zijp and Leo Groothuis, the deal captains in these transactions. “Every one of them was a really special deal. An ECM transaction is a milestone for any client, whether it involves an IPO, a re IPO, or a rights issue. It’s by definition a challenge and a great opportunity to assist a client in such major transactions, and it also allows us to show the strength of our firm, namely the collaboration between all the different disciplines. And a whole lot of people in the firm worked incredibly hard on these cases!”
Earlier this year, NautaDutilh handled the rights issue for Delta Lloyd, the issue for Core Laboratories, and the re-IPO of Van Lanschot depositary receipts by Delta Lloyd. It also advised on the Merus IPO on Nasdaq and TNT’s de-listing on the Amsterdam stock exchange.
