Today, for one day only, primary school pupil Luca will take over from managing partner Petra Zijp. For several years now, NautaDutilh has taken part in JINC's 'Boss of Tomorrow' initiative.

Today is the second time Petra temporarily hands over her duties. As 'Boss of Tomorrow', the children, who are growing up in areas of socio-economic deprivation, experience what it's like to be in charge and establish connections which will benefit them throughout their lives.

Petra picked Luca up at home after which they had breakfast with all the other 'Bosses of Tomorrow' at Rotterdam The Hague Airport. After which, they travelled to the NautaDutilh Rotterdam office to start the day proper. As in previous years, we ask the 'Boss of Tomorrow' to advise us. This year, we are asking Luca how we at NautaDutilh can reduce our carbon footprint. Luca will join a meeting and have conversations with employees. At the end of the day, he will present his advice to NautaDutilh's CSR Committee.

"We support JINC with the goal of empowering the next generation," says Petra. "A good career is not self-evident for everyone. They are talented pupils who need a leg-up and we are happy to give it. It also allows us to show them how special our work as lawyers, notaries and tax advisors is."

JINC believes every child has talent, including the over 600.000 Dutch children who grow up in areas of socio-economic deprivation. Together with corporations and educational institutions, JINC gives these children the opportunity to grow and with that a chance at a better future.

350 children experience what it's like to be the boss through JINC's 'Boss of Tomorrow' today. A diverse group of bosses from across the country participates. From NautaDutilh's managing partner to the CEO's of corporations such as Boskalis, Coca-Cola, Deloitte, Maersk, Rabobank, Stedin and Vopak. The children experience how a company works from the inside out. Through a 'supercharged lightning internship' the Dutch 'Bosses of Tomorrow' show how important it is to invest in tomorrow's talent.

Last year, Petra together with 'Bosses of Tomorrow' Yasmine and Heba were named 'Boss duo of the year'.
