On 29 May 2018, the book 'Parlementaire Geschiedenis van de Faillissementswet 1896-2017' (Parliamentary History of the Dutch Bankruptcy Act 1896-2017) was published. In this book, Jochem Hummelen (NautaDutilh) and Martijn Breeman (Houthoff) review the amendments in the parliamentary history of the Dutch Bankruptcy Act from 1896. The book has 3,200 pages and provides an overview of the amendments per section. This is the first time that such a complete collection of this parliamentary history has been published.

The Bankruptcy Act dates from 1896 and has been amended on many occasions in the past 121 years. That applies particularly to the past 25 years, in which the Bankruptcy Act was extended considerably. By categorising this parliamentary history per section and including general explanations in a separate part, these documents can now be examined optimally and efficiently by practitioners.

Jochem Hummelen and Martijn Breeman previously published a reissue of the 'Van der Feltz'. This is a collection of the parliamentary history of the Bankruptcy Act over the period 1879 to 1896.
