Joost den Engelsman on advising Tecan Group
Advocatie.nl and Overfusies.nl have published an article in which Joost den Engelsman talks about the acquisition of IBL International by our client Tecan Trading AG. Via one of NautaDutilhs' alumni we became involved in the transaction. 'After a meeting with Tecan's deal team, we were asked to advise in the acquisition', says Joost.
Tecan is a producer of laboratory materials and pharmaceutic products. IBL International is specialised in the field immunoassays and develops biochemical tests that are used in life sciences research and clinical diagnostics. The deal has a value of EUR 29 million.
The core team of NautaDutilh that advised Tecan Group consisted of Joost den Engelsman, Martin Grablowitz, Edger Kleijer and Silvia Aantjes-Hubers. NautaDutilh acted as lead counsel and worked with three other teams of foreign lawyers for the due diligence and the handling of its results in the transaction documents.
