NautaDutilh assists De Goudse on the acquisition of Dutch life insurance company Leidsche Verzekering Maatschappij N.V. from Reinsurance Group of America, Inc
NautaDutilh advised De Goudse on the acquisition of all of RGA’s shares in Leidsche Verzekering Maatschappij. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and works council advice. This transaction strengthens the position of De Goudse in the Dutch life insurance market and is a significant step in the realisation of its ‘New-life’ strategy focused on new product development and production.
The auction sale process was initiated by RGA pre-Covid-19, but for De Goudse (and therefore NautaDutilh) the entire transaction process was executed virtually (without any live meetings) as a result of Covid-19 measures.
