NautaDutilh assists Nord Security with investment round of USD 100 million
NautaDutilh assisted Lithuanian tech company and VPN provider Nord Security with an investment round of USD 100 million. The investment round was led by Warburg Pincus LLC. With this deal, Nord Security doubled its valuation to USD 3 billion.
Nord Security, founded in 2012, is a global leader in internet privacy and security solutions. With this investment round, the company managed to capitalise on the growing demand for online security amid a slowdown in venture capital markets. As communicated by Nord Security, the investment will enable it to expand its product offering and accelerate growth through strategic mergers and acquisitions, allowing the company to enhance both consumer and business customers’ security even more.
"We are glad to have been able to advise Nord again in this exciting transaction proving that Nord is an outlier compared with other technology companies that have dropped in value over the past year amid a broader slowdown in growth funding markets", says team lead and Corporate M&A partner Sybren de Beurs.
The team further consisted of Koen Biesma (Notarial Law), Charlotte Perrick (Corporate/M&A) and David Metz (Corporate/M&A).
