NautaDutilh Avocats Luxembourg announces new litigation and arbitration capability
NautaDutilh is pleased to announce the launch of a Luxembourg litigation and arbitration dedicated practice taking a new step forward in its development. The practice will be headed by Antoine Laniez as of November 2014.
The new practice reflects increased client demand in the area of litigation. Given the firm's already strong litigation and arbitration practice in the Netherlands and Belgium, this additional Luxembourg element will offer a more integrated full service to clients on a Benelux level. Furthermore, the other practice areas within the Luxembourg office will benefit and be in a position to respond to complex litigation demands.
Antoine Laniez is specialised in arbitration and litigation in matters related to commercial law, corporate disputes and insolvency. Antoine serves a wide range of corporate clients and banks. Prior to joining NautaDutilh Avocats Luxembourg in 2014, Antoine gained in-depth litigation and arbitration experience, with a focus on commercial law, while working for two well respected law firms based in Luxembourg. Antoine holds a Master degree in European Law from the University of Franche-Comté (jointly with Erasmus exchange program The Hague University) (2003) as well as an LL.M. in Community Litigation from the Universities of Nancy-Strasbourg-Luxembourg (2005). He also regularly teaches law at the University of Lorraine (France). Besides being admitted to the Luxembourg Bar since 2006, Antoine is also qualified as a Solicitor to the senior courts of England and Wales since 2011 and admitted to the French Bar since 2013 (non-practising).
Commenting on the new litigation and arbitration capability and Antoine's appointment, Josée Weydert, managing partner of NautaDutilh Avocats Luxembourg, said: "We are very excited about the launch of the Luxembourg litigation and arbitration practice and see Antoine’s hire as an important step in the further expansion of the Luxembourg office. The establishment of this new practice, will enable NautaDutilh to offer a more complete service and help the firm to develop relationships with existing clients as well as to attract new ones. I am confident that Antoine, who is a highly skilled litigator, will make a valuable contribution to the firm. Antoine's extensive expertise means he brings tremendous knowledge and insight to this role."
