NautaDutilh Avocats Luxembourg boosts its corporate practice with a new partner hire
NautaDutilh has strengthened its corporate capabilities with the hiring of Yoanna Stefanova. She will join the team's other partners, Margaretha Wilkenhuysen and Romain Sabatier, further enhancing the firm's ability to handle complex business cases. Yoanna joined the team on 1 June 2016.
Ms Stefanova specialises in private equity and M&A with a focus on private equity real estate funds and cross-border transactions. She joins NautaDutilh from Dentons (formerly OFP Partners), where she had been a corporate partner since 2012. From 2002 to 2012, she practiced with Clifford Chance Luxembourg.
A leading corporate practitioner who is highly recommended by legal directories, Yoanna advises private equity houses and investment banks on cross-border transactions involving buyout-type deals, partnerships, joint-ventures and co-investment arrangements. She also has extensive experience assisting with the structuring of transactions, ongoing operational issues and restructuring, pre-insolvency and refinancing issues. Yoanna obtained her Master's degree in International Private Law from the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg (1999). She then completed the Cours Complémentaires de Droit Luxembourgeois (CCDL) at the University of Luxembourg (2002). Yoanna has published various articles on issues of Luxembourg corporate law and is a member of the editorial committee of ACE Magazine – Accounting, Tax, Audit, Business Law in Luxembourg. She was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2002.
The addition of Ms Stefanova reflects the firm's continued commitment to developing a practice dedicated to expertly and effectively advising domestic and international clients. "We are delighted to have someone with such great skills and extensive know-how on board" said corporate partner Margaretha Wilkenhuysen. "We believe that Yoanna, with her enthusiasm, energy, experience and knowledge, will be highly complementary to our existing corporate practice and our Luxembourg team. She will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to the firm and its clients."
In the words of Yoanna herself: "I am very pleased to join NautaDutilh Avocats Luxembourg, a law firm with such an admirable reputation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented team and help expand the practice. I will focus my efforts on the firm's clients so that we can continue to deliver outstanding service."
