The two newly appointed associate partners, Frédéric Heremans and Thibaut Willems, will be co-heading the Finance group in Belgium.

Philippe François, managing partner of NautaDutilh Belgium, says: "Frédéric and Thibaut are long-standing members of the team, and it's fantastic that these two talents are climbing up our corporate ladder this year, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Their appointments in the Finance group form an essential part of NautaDutilh's growth strategy in Belgium."

Thibaut Willems' appointment as Associate Partner signals to the market that we are continuing to invest in the Finance group. Thibaut specialises in loan and project finance, with a particular emphasis on public-private partnerships, real estate finance and financial restructurings. Thibaut holds a degree from the University of Leuven (KUL), an LL.M. in European business law and a postgraduate degree in company law from the University of Brussels (KUB). He joined NautaDutilh in 2000.

Frédéric Heremans' appointment is the next step on his career path. He focuses mainly on loan finance and structured finance with a particular emphasis on securitisation transactions. Frédéric advises financial institutions, investors and companies, amongst others, in both national and international financial transactions. He holds a law degree from from the University of Louvain and joined NautaDutilh in 2001.

The board extends its "sincere congratulations to Frédéric and Thibaut on their appointments and wishes them much success with the further development of the Finance practice in Belgium."

Last month, litigation, recovery and insolvency expert Sophie Jacmain and M&A/capital markets lawyer Nicolas de Crombrugghe were also named partners at NautaDutilh Belgium which is celebrating its 20 year anniversary this year.
