NautaDutilh Brussels advised in PPP project R4 Gent
The PPP project R4 Gent was closed on 7 February 2012. The project forms part of a larger initiative by the Flemish government to complete a number of missing links in the roads infrastructure and entailed the completion of the ring road around Ghent consisting out of two sub-projects, i.e. the Zwijnaarde - Gent connection and the extension of the R4 ring road from Scheldekanaal to Guldersporenlaan.
Other missing links already closed were the opening up of the area around the Zaventem airport to road and rail traffic and the Noord-Zuid Kempen highway. The NautaDutilh Brussels PPP team has also been involved in those projects.
Didier De Vliegher, Vincent Ost, Thibaut Willems and Benoit Samyn assisted DG Infra+, Dexia and Fortis, respectively the sponsor and lenders, in this successfull transaction.
