Chambers Europe has published its 2023 guide, ranking our firm in 33 practice areas. The guide also ranks 50 of our lawyers, of which seven as Band 1, the highest attainable ranking.
Our firm has again displayed a strong performance in the Chambers Europe 2023 rankings, with 13 practice areas ranking in Bands 1 and 2. Six teams retained their Band 1 ranking, Banking & Finance Regulatory (Band 1 ranked since 2013), Capital Markets Securitisation (Band 1 ranked since 2009), Dispute Resolution (Band 1 ranked since 2008), Insurance (Band 1 ranked since 2008), Restructuring & Insolvency (Band 1 ranked since 2008) and our Luxembourg Intellectual Property & TMT team (Band 1 ranked since 2022).
Our Belgian Banking & Finance: Regulatory team has been included for the first time among the 'Spotlight' rankings. A 'Spotlight' ranking is given to firms or individuals where the table does not have numerical rankings. All 'Spotlight' rankings are equal and the ranking serves to highlight a select group of firms or individuals.
Among our individual Band 1 rankings, there are some that deserve special attention for their longevity Michaela Ulrici, has been consistently ranked for 17 years, Robert van Galen, has been ranked for 16 years, and Larissa Silverentand, maintained her ranking for 15 years. Stijn Franken maintained his recognition as a Star Individual. This year Liza Gerritsen has been recognised as 'Up & Coming'.
"The unwavering dedication to providing the highest level of service to our clients has been recognised through these rankings. We applaud the hard work and commitment of all who have in some way contributed to this achievement, whether it be directly or indirectly", says Managing Partner Lieke van der Velden.
