NautaDutilh contributes to European Handbook on executive remuneration
NautaDutilh is one of the seven leading European law firms that have participated in the making of a handbook on executive compensation rules across Europe.
The book provides an comprehensive review of the regulatory framework for executive pay in eight key European Union states (Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden). Also, a chapter focuses on the European legal framework. The Conference Board, an American non-profit organisation, has released the Handbook last week. Geert Raaijmakers, a partner at NautaDutilh, is co-editor of the book.
The harmonization process promoted by the European Commission has enabled the convergence of remuneration rules in Europe. However, noteworthy differences remain and continue to impose a significant compliance cost on companies with cross-border business activities. Handbook provides a comparative analysis to help those who have to do with different remuneration rules accross different European countries.
The NautaDutilh team consisted of Elke Janssens who provided the Belgium chapter and Geert Raaijmakers and Marlies Stek who provided the Netherlands and EU chapters.
