NautaDutilh contributes to new international Delaware Corporate Law website
NautaDutilh has made a contribution to the new international Delaware Corporate Law website by providing the Dutch and French translations of the site. The website gives a useful overview of Delaware law, which is known for being flexible and predictable.
The new website is an important source of information for entrepreneurs in our home jurisdictions (Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands). A good translation helps them to better understand what the Delaware legal system is all about. We closely monitor developments on corporate governance in the US, and in Delaware in particular. The importance of these developments is partly due to the popularity of Delaware as a domicile for corporations from all over the US (and beyond).
NautaDutilh shares the belief that flexible and predictable corporate law, an outstanding judiciary and a state-of-the-art service industry are key to attracting business and creating jobs. Recently, several major corporations, such as Omnicom, Fiat Industrial and Applied Materials entered into cross-border strategic mergers and chose the Netherlands as domicile for their holding company for similar reasons.
NautaDutilh's team consisted of Bastiaan Assink, Elke Janssens and Paul Olden.
