NautaDutilh strengthens its Brussels Corporate M&A practice with the arrival of Philippe Remels
NautaDutilh welcomes Philippe Remels as a partner in its Brussels office. Philippe's arrival reinforces NautaDutilh's Corporate M&A practice, which is expanding from four to five partners. Philippe has 20 years' experience in corporate law and previously worked at a top-tier international law firm in Brussels.
Philippe specialises in various areas of corporate law, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, private equity transactions and capital markets. He has extensive experience with and comprehensive knowledge of regulated sectors such as life sciences, healthcare, chemicals and energy. His expertise is the perfect fit with the sector focus of NautaDutilh Brussels.
"We are proud to welcome such a top lawyer to our team and are sure that Philippe is the ideal complement and reinforcement for our Corporate M&A team," says Dirk Van Gerven, managing partner of NautaDutilh Brussels. “Coupled with the recent arrival of privacy and data protection specialist Brahim Benichou as of counsel, this constitutes yet another, and certainly not the last, strong addition to the firm.”
Philippe received his law degree in 1998 from KU Leuven and obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Cambridge in 2000. In 1998, he started his career at an international, top-tier firm where in 2009 he was appointed counsel and subsequently promoted to the partnership.
