New milestone for The Prinses Maxima Centrum
This week, health care institute Prinses Maxima centrum voor Kinderoncologie (PMCK) laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new building. The start of the construction is an important next step in the further development of research and health care for pedriatric onocolgy.
The new construction is partly financed by the issue of public notes. The Prinses Máxima Centrum is the first healthcare institution in years to obtain financing via a public notes issue in the Netherlands.
NautaDutilh is proud to be involved in this unique project. We have advised Rabobank Nederland, the arranger of the issue of notes by the PMCK. Interest on the notes is donated by the noteholders to the foundation Stichting Steun het Prinses Máxima Centrum, resulting in both a social and financial (i.e. tax) benefit. These notes have been named "financial product of the month" in December 2015. NautaDutilh also acted as drafting counsel for the prospectus and transaction documents.
NautaDutilh has been working on this project since March 2015 and is providing a large part of its services pro bono. The team who has worked on this transaction is led by Walter Schellekens and Petra Zijp, and also includes Joyce Trebus, Merijn Moeliker and Reinier Dommerholt.
The Prinses Máxima Centrum was set up to bring together optimal care and top research in a new national children’s cancer centre in the Netherlands.
