Petra Zijp moderates discussion on women empowerment at International Financial Law Virtual Conference
On 22 September, managing partner and head of our Capital Markets team Petra Zijp will moderate a session on Women in the Financial Industry at the International Financial Law Virtual Conference by the IBA.
One of the topics that Petra and co-host Claudia Bruscaglioni, partner at Italian law firm LMCR will discuss are the 10 guiding principles to promote women’s empowerment from the recent Manifesto on Women’s Empowerment that was prepared by the Business Advisory Board of the G20 last August. Special guest keynote speaker will be Claudia Parzani of Linklaters, who is an influential activist on gender diversity issues.
‘Women are still under-represented in Financial Law. Too few advance to leadership positions. I am committed to bringing about change, together with other leaders in our field. That is why I am looking forward to tonight’s discussion. It will be an opportunity to learn about best practices, to talk about how we can offer talent a stage and inspire each other what action is required from leaders to get rid of the obstacles women encounter on their way to the top
