On 8 March 2012 the Global Arbitration Review (GAR) Awards were presented to their winners during an award ceremony in Stockholm. The award for Best Newcomer went to P.R.I.M.E. Finance – the world's first specialist centre to resolve disputes arising from complex financial transactions, which recently opened in The Hague. Secretary-General Gerard Meijer and founder Jeff Golden have collected the award.

In addition to the Best Newcomer award, P.R.I.M.E. Finance finished runner-up to LCIA in the Innovation Awards. Gerard Meijer and his team have been closely involved in setting up the new institute and particularly in drawing up its arbitration rules.

Global Arbitration Review is the world's leading international arbitration law journal and news service. GAR provides breaking news, updates five days a week and in-depth features covering issues in international arbitration around the world.
