NautaDutilh's corporate M&A team assisted investor consortium led by Panakès Partners, INKEF Capital and SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement with its investment in Salvia Bioelectronics. Other participants in the consortium were BOM Brabant Ventures, Thuja Capital and Dolby Family Ventures.
Salvia develops bioelectronic solutions that restore health for people suffering from chronic migraine. People suffering from chronic migraine have an average of 22 migraines per month. The device that Salvia develops is surgically implanted under the scalp and by sending small electronic currents (like a pacemaker) the number of migraines can be reduced to 7 per month.
Ruud Smits says: “Honoured to be part of the journey to a treatment for chronic migraine. I wish Hubert, Daniel and Wim from Salvia good luck in bringing this further!"
The deal team was led by Ruud Smits and furthermore consisted of Marieke Pols, Sanne Mesu and Pamela Buhrman. A special thanks to our other colleagues that have assisted throughout the process: Nico Blom, Gijs van Nes, Arjan Koorevaar, Nina Kielman, Joppe Schoute, Florine Kuiperi, Eva van Rooijen, Jeanine Evertse and Eline van Marle
