Responding to the financial crisis, various regulatory responses have been found by European authorities to revamp the European regulatory framework and numbers of directives and regulations have been adopted. Focusing on the specific capital markets’ trends and evolutions, it is important to emphasise the recent discussions around the adoption of a new prospectus regulation. There is no doubt that this project constitutes an additional opportunity for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to further strengthen its position as a leader in the European financial industry.
