NautaDutilh advised Cibus Capital in connection with the acquisition of Aweta, a global leader in fruit and vegetable sorting, grading and packing technology, from Standard Investment and Aweta's founders and management. Aweta holds a leading position in the greenhouse vegetable market, particularly for cucumbers and peppers. Following completion, Cibus and Aweta will pursue further international growth together and accelerate investment in research and development, installed base support and product innovation, including software and artificial intelligence capabilities.

This transaction builds on NautaDutilh's established relationship with Cibus Capital, having previously advised the firm on its acquisition of Duijvestijn Tomaten and the merger between TTA and ISO, and reflects the firm's continued track record advising leading private equity investors on strategic buy-outs and add-on acquisitions in the agri-food and technology sectors.

“It was a great pleasure to have supported Cibus Capital once again, this time on the acquisition of Aweta – a global leader in fruit and vegetable sorting, grading and packing technology. Having advised Cibus on a number of transactions, it is rewarding to see them continue to build a portfolio of differentiated, technology-driven businesses that make food value chains more resilient. Aweta is a strong fit for that strategy, and we look forward to seeing the business accelerate its next phase of international growth under Cibus' ownership. My thanks to the entire NautaDutilh team for their dedication across all disciplines in bringing this transaction to a successful close.”
