NautaDutilh has appointed Sandra Spek as board member, effective 1 March 2026. Together with Ruud Smits and Michaëla Ulrici, Sandra will form the firm’s three person board.

Sandra brings broad leadership experience in both executive and supervisory roles. She joins NautaDutilh from international law firm Baker McKenzie, where she was the general manager for the Netherlands and Austria. Earlier in her career, she held CFO and senior leadership roles across professional services and other regulated and complex sectors, including healthcare, financial services and pensions. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of strategy, organisation and people, leading complex change processes and building teams that perform at their best in international environments.

Ruud Smits welcomes Sandra: "By appointing Sandra, we strengthen the firm’s governance and execution power. Sandra combines a sharp eye for organisational dynamics with a strong commitment to professional development, making her a natural fit for our firm’s culture and ambitions."

Sandra Spek is enthusiastic about her new role: “I am excited to join NautaDutilh. It is a firm with a strong identity, a commitment to client excellence, Benelux roots and a forward‑looking mindset. For me, this is a great opportunity to build upon the experience and expertise gained in my previous roles to help shape the firm’s strategy and work together to address what lies ahead. I look forward to teaming up with Michaëla, Ruud and everyone across the firm to enable our clients and talent to thrive.”
