NautaDutilh's multidisciplinary Competition Litigation Team consists of strong litigators and competition lawyers from all of our Benelux offices.

They assist clients in damages proceedings relating to an infringement of European or national competition law, whether or not following a decision by a competition authority (stand alone vs. follow-on proceedings).

The team has extensive experience in assisting clients in such civil proceedings. They do so before various national judicial authorities throughout the Benelux, as well as the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. Recent examples of cases handled by our team relate to decisions of competition authorities concerning:

  • air cargo
  • cathode ray tubes for computer and television monitors (CRT)
  • lifts and escalators
  • flour
  • foreign exchange (Forex)
  • high voltage power cables
  • prestressing steel

In these complex and often multi-jurisdictional matters, our team works closely with renowned economic experts. In addition, we seamlessly work with in-house legal departments and foreign lawyers of our clients. If needed, we are able to form a multi-jurisdictional team outside the Benelux with other top tier firms with which we have long-standing relationships. This means we are able to deliver a tailored strategy that is not only effective, but which also takes into consideration possible related litigation in other countries.
