Tom van Amsterdam works in the department Financial Litigation of NautaDutilh. He advises and represents financial institutions in the areas of financial law, insurance law and liability law.
Tom obtained his bachelor's degree in Dutch Law cum laude. He obtained his master's degrees Private Law in 2016 finishing both the Commercial Private Practice track (Privaatrecht: Commerciële Rechtspraktijk) as well as the General Private Practice track (Privaatrecht: Privaatrechtelijke Rechtspraktijk). Tom graduated on a research regarding the directors and board liability insurance and an empirical research regarding the lawyers independence. The results of this last research are published in the Nederlands Juristenblad (Wie betaalt, die bepaalt. Of toch niet? - NJB 2016, 2003). Tom van Amsterdam joined NautaDutilh in September 2016.
Tom is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar.
