Lesley van Cappellen Associate

Lesley Giesberts - van Cappellen works in the department Banking & Finance and is a member of NautaDutilh's Finance team. In addition, Lesley joined the Capital Markets team where she gained experience in (debt) capital markets transactions, such as updates of debt and structured notes issuance programmes. She advises financial institutions and corporate clients in domestic and international financing transactions, with a focus on general corporate lending and acquisition and leveraged finance.

Lesley obtained both a bachelor and master degree in corporate law and a bachelor and master degree in financial economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. She joined NautaDutilh in January 2014 and Lesley is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar.

From April 2017 until mid-August 2017, Lesley was seconded to Shell International B.V. where she as an interim legal counsel as part of the NL Corporate & Finance team advised Shell's global finance and treasury departments in respect of loans, guarantees and capital contributions.

During 2018 Lesley worked at NautaDutilh's New York office where she advised clients on the Netherlands law aspects of U.S. originated finance transactions.

Recent transactions include advising Patrimonium Middle Market Debt Fund (managed by Patrimonium Asset Management AG) in relation to the financing of the acquisition of Heras by Equistone Partners Europe, representing J.P. Morgan Europe, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley Bank as lenders in the "IFLR Loan Deal of the Year 2015": the financing of the merger between D.E Master Blenders 1753 and Mondelēz International's wholly owned coffee portfolio and advising the Q-Park group with respect to the EUR 925 million facility from ABN AMRO Bank, Rabobank, ING Bank, HSBC and KBC as refinancing of an existing EUR 1,158 billion facility.
