Luc Courtois is a partner with NautaDutilh and head of the Luxembourg Investment Funds practice. Luc has more than twenty-five years' experience on the Luxembourg legal market and specialises in setting up UCITS and other regulated and unregulated investment vehicles, including real estate, debt, private equity and hedge funds. In addition to advising on AIFMD requirements, he assists management companies and alternative investment fund managers with obtaining a license and the development of their activities in Luxembourg and abroad. He also advises banking groups on the restructuring of their management companies in Luxembourg.
Prior to joining NautaDutilh, Luc was a partner with another reputable law firm in Luxembourg.
Luc obtained his master's in law and a degree in public and international affairs from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in 1993. He also holds an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center (1995).
Luc is a member of the Association of the Luxembourg Funds Industry (ALFI) and the International Bar Association (IBA) and a board member of various investment funds and management companies. In addition, he lectures on investment funds at the Institut de Formation Bancaire Luxembourg (IFBL).
