Ottavio Covolo is a senior associate in our Commercial litigation & Technology law practice groups. He specialises in FinTech, IT, data protection, e-commerce, IP and general commercial law.

He has numerous years of experience in advising clients – notably in the financial sector – with data protection and other regulatory matters surrounding the use and incorporation of technology in their business, including investment funds and asset managers in data protection and e-ID issues, including in the field of blockchain technology.

    Admission to the Bar

    Ottavio was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2020.

    Languages

    Ottavio is a native Italian and French speaker, fluent in English. He also has working knowledge of German and Luxembourgish.

    Education and previous experience

    Ottavio holds an LLM in Space, Telecommunications and Media Law from the University of Luxembourg (2019).

    Prior to joining NautaDutilh, Ottavio worked at a magic circle law firm in Luxembourg, with experience in advising clients – including in the financial sector – with data protection and other regulatory matters surrounding the use and incorporation of technology in their business.

    Ottavio is a member of the Italian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, and of Letzblock, where he leads the task force to criticise the European approach to reverse solicitation under MiCAR.
