Pierre De Pauw specialises in banking and finance, as well as corporate and securities law, with a focus on (re)financing transactions, clearing and settlement systems, regulatory aspects of banking and financial services and financial litigation. He regularly assists Belgian and foreign financial institutions, in both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Pierre is recommended by The Legal 500 (ed. 2019) as a key contact at NautaDutilh in the field of regulatory financial services.
He received his Master in Law from the Université Catholique de Louvain in 2012 and subsequently obtained an LL.M. in European Economic and Financial Law from the KU Leuven in 2013.
During his studies, Pierre participated to the Erasmus Belgica programme at the University of Antwerp and to the LL.M. in International Business Law at Birmingham City University (United Kingdom) in the framework of the Erasmus exchange programme.
Pierre is also a teaching assistant in corporate law (insolvency and legal personality matters) at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and regularly publishes on selected topics (such as market abuses, credit institutions and takeover bids).
In 2018, Pierre worked for a few months in London at Euroclear UK & Ireland as part of a secondment.
Pierre joined NautaDutilh in October 2013 and was admitted to the Brussels Bar that same year.
Besides his native French, Pierre also speaks Dutch and English.
