Frans van der Eerden specialises in financial regulation. He advises nationally and internationally active financial institutions in respect of securities law, derivatives and financial supervision.
Frans advises on the application of financial regulatory laws including the implementation of new regulatory rules such as the AIFMD, CRD IV and Solvency II. He also assists clients in relation to the development of new products and new channels of distribution, e.g. the drafting of client documentation for banks or investment firms and the structuring of investment funds. In addition, Frans assists clients in respect of acquisitions within the financial sector, such as Deutsche Bank's acquisition of certain parts of ABN AMRO Bank in the Netherlands, the acquisition of Paerel life insurance by ASR and the acquisition of OVZ non-life insurance by TVM.
Frans regularly publishes and teaches on aspects of financial supervision. Frans is co-author to the recently published book 'Hoofdlijnen Wft', which provides insight into the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wft) and rules and regulations thereto.
Frans graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Radboud University of Nijmegen in 2005 and studied law at the Jean Moulin University of Lyon in France. Frans joined NautaDutilh in 2005 and is admitted to the Amsterdam bar.
