

Erik van Engelenburg Associate
Erik van Engelenburg is a member of the Dispute Resolution group. He advises and litigates for both national and international clients on matters relating to corporate and commercial law. He also advises on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)-related matters, particularly concerning hydrogen, ESG-legislation and climate liability.
Erik studied at Utrecht University, where he obtained a master's degree in Private Law with a specialisation in Commercial Property Law (cum laude). Erik also obtained a master's degree in International Business Law: Climate Change and Corporations at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (cum laude). During his bachelor’s degree, Erik studied a semester at the University of Bologna.
With his master thesis on the liability of financial service providers for the breach of European sustainability legislation, Erik won the FRP Thesis Award in 2022. Later that year, he published a shortened version of his thesis in Dutch legal journal ‘Financial Law in Practice’.
Erik joined NautaDutilh in 2023, and is admitted to the Amsterdam bar.
