Janneke de Goeij - Prins Counsel

Janneke de Goeij specialises in Banking & Finance with a focus on loan and acquisition finance, fund finance and restructurings spearheaded from the U.S. She has been located in the firm's New York office since 2017, where Janneke also serves as a first point of contact for our full service expertise in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Recent transactions in which Janneke was involved include the Chapter 11 filings of McDermott and its DIP financing and the refinancing of NSI N.V.s unsecured loan facility.
Janneke previously worked in the firm's corporate law practice group (M&A), during which time she specialised in both national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, energy law and the drafting of commercial contracts. Furthermore, she litigated in liability cases.
Janneke graduated in private law from Utrecht University in 2006 and in business law from Leiden University in the same year. She joined NautaDutilh in January 2007. Janneke completed a postgraduate course on finance and security rights at the Grotius Academy in 2011. She has been seconded to two international banks.
Janneke is referenced in Legal 500's 2021 EMEA Banking and Finance: Borrower Side Guide as "…frequently instructed to serve as Dutch counsel in matters involving the US…advising on the Dutch law aspects of financial restructurings and acquisition financing…"
