Edger Kleijer is an associate partner in NautaDutilh’s Banking & Finance Group. He has extensive experience in the financial industry and related businesses advising numerous industry players including banks, insurers, intermediaries, payment service providers and private equity funds. Edger currently focusses on advising businesses on current and future implications of Dutch and European financial regulatory and corporate law. In addition, he has been involved in a number of transactions concerning financial institutions and other institutions that are subject to financial regulatory law, including assisting a.s.r. in the acquisition of Axent funeral insurance, the Boval Group, Supergarant and Generali Netherlands, assisting Staalbankiers with the sale of its private banking business to Van Lanschot, assisting Van Lanschot with the acquisition of UBS’ Dutch private banking business and assisting Lombard Odier in the sale of its private banking business to InsingerGillisen.
Edger graduated from Leiden University in 2005 and joined NautaDutilh in the same year. In 2009 Edger successfully completed a specialisation course on corporate and enterprise law organised by the Grotius Academy.
