Gijs van Nes advises on virtually all aspects in the field of employment law, with a particular focus on employee consultation rights, reorganisations and individual dismissal procedures. He also commands vast knowledge and experience on the labour law aspects of M&A transactions. Gijs has a strong presence in the financial industry, advises mostly employers and work councils of large (international) corporations and acts both as lawyer and strategic partner of directors, HR-staff and foreign counsels.
He previously worked in the corporate law department, concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, and spent a year at the firm's office in New York.
Gijs is editor of the journal Rechtspraak Arbeidsrecht.

Gijs joined NautaDutilh in 2005 after he graduated from Groningen University in 2004. During his studies he spent a year at the University of Exeter and a semester at the University of Edinburgh focussing on international law.
