Patrick Peeters specialises in public law and in particular in environmental, energy and zoning law. He has extensive litigation experience before both the Constitutional Court and the Council of State.
Patrick focuses on all regulatory aspects of electricity and gas legislation (EU, federal and regional legislation). He is recognised as an energy law specialist by a number of important players on the Belgian energy market.
He was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1988 and became a partner with De Bandt, van Hecke & Lagae (subsequently Linklaters De Bandt) in 1994. In 2005, he became partner with NautaDutilh to develop the administrative law and regulatory practice.
Patrick is the author of numerous publications on constitutional law, comparative federalism and state reform. He lectures on constitutional law at the KU Leuven. Patrick is also a country rapporteur for the European Public Law Journal and a member of the editorial board of Chronique de Droit Public/Publiekrechtelijke Kronieken.
