Tim van Polanen works as a lawyer in the Banking & Finance section, practice group Finance. He advises banks, financial institutions and companies on both national and cross-border financing transactions.

Tim studied Law and History at Leiden University and obtained in both studies a master's degree with distinction (cum laude). During his studies Tim was active as a board member of several study associations and was an editorial board member of Ars Aequi. Before joining NautaDutilh, Tim worked as a researcher at Leiden University. He published on various subjects, such as the legal position of enslaved people and the history of the bar association in the early modern period.

Tim joined NautaDutilh in 2021 and is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar.
