He graduated from the law faculty of the University of Ghent and obtained a specialised master degree in International Business Law and Management from the ESCP Europe Business School in Paris. During the course of his studies, he spent a semester at the University of Miami School of Law. Prior to joining NautaDutilh in 2017, Alexander worked in the Luxembourg office of an international law firm. He was admitted to the Brussels bar in 2017.

Alexander was mentioned as a key lawyer for dispute resolution and was noted for his focus on international arbitration in the 2022 edition of The Legal 500.
