Max van Roermund

Max van Roermund is an attorney in NautaDutilh’s Public Law & Regulatory group. He advises and litigates on administrative law matters, including environmental and planning law, energy law, sustainability legislation, enforcement, and the Dutch Open Government Act (Wet open overheid).
Previously, Max was part of NautaDutilh’s Corporate Crime & Business Integrity team, where he represented (inter)national companies, Seveso establishments, and financial institutions in matters involving environmental criminal law, (anti)money laundering, (anti)corruption, fraud, sanctions legislation, ESG-related offences, and economic crimes.

Qualifications
Max joined NautaDutilh in November 2023 and is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar. He studied at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he obtained a master’s degree in criminal law in 2023. His thesis explored the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Criminal Law.
