Peter-Jan Smet is a senior associate in our investment funds practice. He assists asset managers, funds promoters, depositary banks and institutional investors in the structuring and setting up of Luxembourg regulated investment fund structures i.e. UCITS, specialised investment funds (SIFs), private equity and venture capital funds (SICARs), real estate and debt funds, as well as unregulated investment vehicles i.e. reserved alternative investment funds (RAIFs).
Peter-Jan holds a master of Law from the University of Leuven (KUL, 2008), a master's degree in corporate law from the University of Brussels (2012) as well as an LL.M. from the Duke University School of Law (2013).
Prior to joining NautaDutilh, Peter-Jan worked for another renowned law firm in Luxembourg and for a Belgian Law firm.
Peter-Jan is admitted to the Luxembourg Bar. He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the International Bar Association (IBA) and the British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg (BCC).
Peter-Jan is a native Dutch speaker. He is also fluent in English and French and has good working knowledge of German.
